CMG join Make UK to fly the flag for British sector

CMG Technologies are excited to announce we are now members of Make UK – an organisation looking to help supercharge the British manufacturing sector.

We have joined more than 5,000 other businesses by becoming a member, providing us with unrivalled access to valuable knowledge, expertise and support from industry leaders and pioneers.

The organisation’s goal is to build a platform for the evolution of UK manufacturing, shining a spotlight on the quality of British products and inspiring future generations to join the industry.

Mark Leonard, our Technical Sales Manager, said membership will provide opportunities for the future growth of CMG.

He said: “Make UK membership is really going to help us integrate with other likeminded businesses and help us gain valuable knowledge and expertise.

“There are always changes to legislation, so it’s ideal to have access to expertise on things that affect our industry. It helps us stay ahead.

“We also really want to tap into the events Make UK organise and help open us up to new and exciting markets, showcasing what we do to new audiences.

“It is going to help us significantly.”

Current goals set out by Make UK include calling on the government to develop a robust, long-term industrial strategy and to create a sustainable workforce equipped with the skills needed for the future.

Other services it offers businesses include employment law and HR support, cyber security advice and opportunities for learning and development.

Mark added he is pleased to help fly the flag for the British manufacturing and engineering sectors – something he is incredibly proud of.

He said: “I’m very passionate about UK manufacturing and engineering. I’ve worked in this sector all my life – and unfortunately what I had seen before joining CMG was a sector that was in decline and wasn’t getting the support it needs.

“We do some amazing work at CMG and the exciting thing is that the true potential of our processes is yet to be realised. There are really exciting times ahead.”
