Reflecting on their first seven months in the team, two of our newest starters said they have felt right at home from the moment they walked through the door.
Lucy Halliday-Jones and Chloe Curzon-Hart both joined CMG in January – bringing with them vast experience in their respective fields of finance and manufacturing.
Lucy, who is our Financial Controller, joined after spending 10 years in other finance and accountancy roles, while Chloe, our Stores & Despatch Administrator, has previously worked as a warehouse technician at another local tech firm.
Both said settling into life at CMG was “easy”, praising their colleagues for helping create such a welcoming environment.
“It’s just such a great company,” Lucy said. “Everyone here is so nice – they really look after you.
“You could just tell there is a great work-life balance and that everyone is so supportive.
“I feel really privileged to work here.”
Chloe added: “It’s just been so lovely and welcoming. We felt like part of the team instantly.
“The culture is amazing, especially the four-day week. It makes a massive difference.”
Lucy’s varied role sees her responsible for all things finance and accounts across the business, while Chloe ensures our clients’ orders are packaged and despatched on-time.
Lucy said: “Anything coming in or out of the business comes through me – processing financial transactions, creating and managing accounts, payroll… Every day is different.”
Chloe added it has been great comparing the work we do at CMG to the products seen in her previous role.
“It’s amazing,” she said. “I heard about the job through a mutual connection and was excited to apply.
“At my previous workplace I was used to packaging big medical devices – but what we make here are so small and intricate. It’s really interesting.”
Away from work, Chloe is a singer who can be found performing across the region, while Lucy loves to travel the world with her husband.
